Conquer your Fear: Davao Xcelerator

Another word synonymous to davao aside from “Beautiful”, “Safe”, and “Fun” is ADVENTURE! And just this year, another place full of adventure just opened..

Outland Adventure’s Xcelerator! 

Now, the Longest Zipline in ASIA!

So, how does the adventure begin?

First you need to know how to get there. If you don’t have your own vehicle, you can ride a cab. Just tell the driver to drop you off at GAP Farm. Coming from Buhangin area, you will see the Xcelerator sign on your right side.

The first thing you need to do when you get to outland adventure  is to register, sign the waiver, pay the fee (p300.00) then get your number.

Then you can take pictures of the place and pose around 😀

Then you suit-up. You should tell the staff if you’d like the “superman” or sitting position. You should try both. But the sitting position will give you more freedom to move around and do acrobatics!

Pay attention to the staff as they will give  instructions on how you will survive and go home alive!

After the brief orientation, you will start the treck. Its a 20-30 minute walk (including a river cross) to the top of the mountain where the jump-off point is located. How long you get to the top depends on how fast you move and do-the-hike.

When you reach the top, you wont feel the fear yet.. coz you’re too tired to be afraid! ahahaha

You’ll have time to grasp for air and prepare for the “ride of your life” as you wait for your number to be called. When its your time to “feel the rush”, double check your straps and make sure you are strapped in securely.

Once your zipping down i suggest you enjoy the moment and capture it on video! You’ll come down the mountain with a speed of 70 to 120 kph! Yeah.. that fast!

Unlike other ziplines here in Davao where you’ll stop on the ground, at the Xcelerator, you’ll stop hanging on the zipline and you’ll have to wait for someone on the the movable ramp to fetch you.

After you go down the ramp.. there’s a different feeling.. a feeling that you want more! Another round!

Tips:

 

• Take pics later and register and suit up first.
• Remove anything that might fall from your pockets  (including your wallets)
• Bring water – the hike is quite far.
• Make sure you are strapped properly.

 

Outland Adventure Xcelerator  is open Every Day (8am – 5pm).  They accept group reservation during weekdays. They are also open on holidays & every day during school breaks.

Price: P300 per adult 50% for small children riding tandem with an adult.
