Davao is ready for swine flu virus
According to Dr. Eric Tayag of the DOH’s National Epidemiology Center, there are five hospitals (as of posting time) that could accommodate patients that are infected with the swine flu virus. One of which is our very own Davao Medical Center (source).
In another news:
Authorities in Davao City have likewise tightened their surveillance on the various ports in Southern Mindanao for the possible entry of swine products as well as individuals suspected to be carrying the dreaded swine influenza.
This developed as the Bureau of Quarantine Region XI also put up thermal scanners for passengers coming in through international flights at the Davao International Airport.
I just hope the medicines are already here. If ever the virus does not reach the country or Davao City, at least the we were ready to fight the war.
