Zorbing adventure!

February 15, 2010

There’s a new SUPER FUN activity here in Davao City. Zorbing!

Zorbing is the recreation of rolling downhill in an orb, generally made of transparent plastic. Zorbing is generally performed on a gentle slope, but can also be done on a level surface, permitting more rider control. In the absence of hills some operators have constructed inflatable, wooden or metal ramps. – Wikipedia

For just P200.00, you’ll roll down a make shift elevated surface inside this giant orb.

You’ll be strapped inside as the orb here in Davao City is the harnessed type of Zorbing (as compared to the Non-harnessed orb where up to 3 people can be allowed to go onside).

The ride is just less than a minute.

The feel… imagine yourself rolling upside down a hill and you don’t have any control over it.

But Zorbing is not for everyone as certain safety rules applies:

  • Not for pregnant women
  • Those with heart disease or high blood pressure
  • Those with neck and back problem
  • Anyone who weights more than 180 kilos (there’s a weighing scale at the site).

Oh lastly, don’t  eat or have your tummy full before trying this activity.
