SIKAT solar car is in Davao
the SIKAT Solar Car is here in Davao City!
SIKAT is the second solar powered car in the Philippines which succeeded SINAG..
The design and construction of the SIKAT solar car was undertaken by a dedicated group of faculty and students from the Mechanical Engineering and the Electronics and Communications Engineering Departments of De La Salle University-Manila, in partnership with the Philippine Solar Car Society, Inc.
SIKAT is on a 50 day Philippine tour.
The SIKAT tour goes beyond showcasing a Philippine-made solar car. It is meant to generate great pride for the Philippines and our inherent technical talent, to highlight the rich potential for solar energy applications in our country, and to challenge our youth to be the vanguard of technological innovation and environmental stewardship, particularly through the use of renewable energy.
