DFAT 09: Day 2 – Ranchero Grill

March 18, 2009

After conquering the longest zipline in Asia, the Xcelerator (will have a separate post for this), I joined the Davao Food Appreciation Tour  (D FAT) participants from General Santos City headed by my good friend, Mr. Bariles – Avel Manansala.

Our destination was Ranchero Grill which prooved to be a FEAST.

I’ve seen some blog posts about Ranchero Grill and I was surprised  to find out that such a great place exists here in Davao City. I’ve been here for 2 years and it’s only now that i got to taste their great tasting food!

What i was excited about is their best seller, the Baby Back Ribs! Just look at the pictures below..

The meat was so tender you won’t have a hard time getting your share…. get a big share coz its good for 6 persons for just P450.00. Imagine that, only P450. Something like this will cost you at least a thousand bucks in other places!

It has this sweet glace that makes it even more yummy! You’ll forget everything else that’s on the table when this is around!

We were also served with this HUGE wooden tray with a lot of stuff  on it. Its called Angust Feast (4-6 persons P900 or 1, 250 – biggest). They say its good for 6 persons. But i think its for 8-10 people (depending on their appetite). Its my first time to see such a large tray. It has rice, kinilaw,  quail, schrimps, pakbet, crabs, pork Barbeque, grilled tuna belly and free second round rice refill!

This guy was the one who served the Angust feast. Just look how big that tray full of mouthwatering treats.

They also have the Brahman’s Feast which has a different food combination but i’m sure you’ll love this too.We were also served Pochero de Ranchero and seafood Platter which were also winners for the sumptuous taste!

It was definitely a feast at Ranchero Grill!

Oops.. i almost forgot.. make sure to order the Honey Dew Shake!

You might be interested to know that aside from great tasting food, Ranchero Grill also offers a nice ambiance that will cater for everyone’s mood.. see the pics below…

Ranchero Grill and Stakehouse is located at Tiongko Street Cor. Arellano St. Contact nos. 225-1199 / 226-8679.
