DFAT 09: Day 2 – Ram’s Diner

March 18, 2009

Great food, low price.

That’s how I’ll describe Ram’s Diner. I’ve been passing by this place for 2 years now thinking that its just a not suited for my taste buds. But i was wrong. It was exactly what I was looking for!

Ram’s Diner offered us delicious dishes  that we can’t refuse!

I was with the General Santos delegates of the Davao Food Appreciation Tour (Davao FAT) when we raided and enjoyed dinner at Ram’s Diner.

They served my favorite, Lechon Manok! Ram’s lechon manok has been in Davao for quite some time now. And it has now evolved from a simple lechon manok stand into a diner with several branches here in Davao. Proof that their roasted chicken has a taste that Dabawenyos love.

Their Pancit was also surprisingly good. What looks like ordinary pancit has a special taste. A single order is only P99.00 (as of posting time) good for 6 persons.

The sweet and sour white marlin looked good but even tastes better! YUMMMMEH!

There’s a mini “dampa” as we call it in Manila. Where you’ll pick the fresh food – fish, pork, beef, etc – that you want to eat and have it cooked the way you want it.

Ram’s Diner has different branches here in Davao. The one we had dinner at was along Quimpo Blvd near SM Davao. They have  a newly constructed branch at the ground floor of Enrico’s Apartelle (which is also owned by Ram’s Diner) along DBP Village along Ma-a Road. I saw another Branch at Ecoland Drive near the Indonesian Embassy.
