Davao’s Best Kept Secrets unveiled in Davao FAT

March 16, 2009

The Davao Food Appreciation Tour (Davao FAT) is a success this year! Being “busog” is an understatement as everyone did not only get their tummies full but also enjoyed each and every meal and the sites here in Davao City.

Davao FAT started last Friday, March 13, with participants not only from Davao City but from other parts of Mindanao and Luzon as well. Davao FATrippers from Manila, Zamboanga, General Santos, and Cagayan De Oro converged here in Davao and joined Davao Bloggers for 3 days of eating at Davao City’s dining places!

The delegation from General Santos was lead by Mr. Bariles himself, Avel Manansala who went to Davao for the Day 2 of D Fat. He brought a powerhouse cast: Ms. Gensan, Romemarie Ivy Cunanan; Honey, daughter of GenSan’s Mayor; Leonard Pe, and the mighty blogger generals! It was nice to meet new friends and see familiar faces. Everyone had a blast as most of us tried out the longest zip line in Asia, the Xcelerator from Outland Adventure.

Day 3 was not to be missed by particpants, as more restos made everyone special as the best dishes were served. However, some had to leave Davao early to catch their flights. It was also the day for grabbing pasalubong for their loved ones back home.

Davao City’s best kept secrets were unveiled during the 3 Days of the Davao Food Appreciation Tour! So watch out for the yummy posts and one with an adventure!

Davao FAT is sponsored by Davao Delicious and Davao Foodie.

Special thanks to Avel Manansala for Day 2.
