Firecracker Ban in Davao

December 28, 2007

6 years ago, the Davao City council passed an Ordinance banning the use of Firecrackers here in Davao CIty. And since then, my friends tells me that the City has been quiet and of course, no more firecraker related injuries, deaths, or fires which causes damage to property.

But i hope there’s a place here in Davao where we can watch fireworks displays… like the pyrotechnics show..

In Manila, the Bureau of Fire Protection is now getting ready for the New Year, here in Davao, authorities are also ready, to take on the law breakers, those who would still try to use even a watusi (dancing firecrackers).

Here’s a copy of the ordinance banning firecrackers.
