Davao Summer Fever: Let’s go to Canibad

One of the many public beaches in Davao which is starting to gain popularity..

Canibad Cove Beach.

There are 3 ways to go to Canibad

First, by air – ride a Helicopter… hehehehe

Second, By land, then water, then land again.

Above pics from suddenserenity check out his post about canibad for fares and going there by land.

Third, by boat – would take you 2 hours to go there. But you’ll enjoy the view!

You’ll pass by the Vanishing Island.

And other Beaches (both private and public)

You’ll know you’re in canibad because of the distinct rock formation and the “white sand”.

This is one of the best spots in Canibad, Under the Big Rock…

.. where waves would drag you back and forth just make sure your head won’t bump the rock.

These photos were taken last year, i/we plan to go to canibad again this summer.

By the way.. may signal sa canibad! (the lady in the picture below is talking to her lover)

  1. Wow! Canibad is gaining popularity na talaga… way back 2003 almost mga mountain climbers lang ang tumatambay dito but now, the public knows it, sana ma preserve pa rin ang kagandahan ng lugar na’to…

    Nice post!

  2. Been in Canibad years ago and the road was still in need of grading and expansion. At that time, the cove was already declared as part of the Samal Marine Sanctuary. In fact, some natives were there trying to tell off swimmers to stay off the corals. Sana naman, walang umabuso para abutan ng next generations. Sabi nga..leave nothing but footprints(dalahin ninyo basura ninyo!), kill nothing but time(ayaw patya ang corals!) and take nothing but pictures(wala dalahay ug shells and corals!)
